The Houston Mountain Bike Association (HMBA) approached JSDCo to help turn their vision of transforming Mount Harry Davis in Houston, BC, into a central hub for the mountain biking community in Northern British Columbia into reality.
In Houston, British Columbia, Mount Harry Davis represents more than just a hill; it symbolizes hope for a town facing economic challenges. The HMBA, founded in 2016, aims to revitalize this local landmark into a center for recreation and connection, thereby attracting visitors to the Bulkley Valley. JSDCo partnered with the HMBA to turn their vision into a reality and help establish a brand that reflects their grassroots spirit and ambitious goals.
We refined the logo and developed a bold, natural colour palette inspired by Houston’s natural & industrial heritage, creating a visual identity that honours the town’s past while looking forward to its future. The website we designed needed to be simple, functional, and engaging, showcasing the HMBA’s mission, making membership accessible, and highlighting the Mount Harry Davis trail network to attract local and regional riders. On social media, we expanded the brand's reach through storytelling-driven content that resonated with the community, fostering connection and pride. We also established strategic partnerships with Mountain Biking BC that literally placed the Mount Harry Davis trail network on the map, boosting visibility and enhancing community pride.
Together, we built more than a brand. We built a community.
